Good news for staff at Charles Darwin University, Enterprise Agreement certified by FWC
Charles Darwin University (CDU) has today had the Enterprise Agreement voted on by staff last year certified by the Fair Work Commission.
Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Hilary Winchester, AM, said the news, which had been expected after a successful appeal last month of an earlier FWC decision, gave certainty to staff ahead of the Easter break.
In a vote last year 62 per cent of CDU staff voted in favour of the Charles Darwin University and Union Enterprise Agreement 2022.
"This is fantastic news for University staff," Professor Winchester said.
"Almost two thirds of our staff voted in favour of this Agreement so today’s decision by the Fair Work Commission is welcomed," she said.
Although CDU had already been honouring a four per cent pay rise and some of the other benefits to staff since the vote last year, the University will have seven days to implement the full agreement, which takes effect on April 13.
