Charles Darwin University commences search for new Chancellor
Charles Darwin University (CDU) is seeking a new Chancellor to continue the work and strong leadership of the Honourable Paul Henderson AO.
Mr Henderson announced the conclusion of his term earlier this month.
The Council of CDU has formally commenced the selection process.
A Chancellor Selection Committee, chaired by Dr Ruth Schubert, has been established. The members of the Chancellor Selection Committee are Mr Dick Guit OAM, Council Member; Professor Louise King, Chair of Academic Board; Mr Mark Munnich, Council Member; and Professor Scott Bowman AO, Vice-Chancellor and President.
“The Chancellor Selection Committee are seeking expressions of interest from individuals who are committed to and reside in the Northern Territory for the vital role of Chancellor,” Dr Schubert said.
“We are looking for an inspirational individual with an outstanding track record of leadership, who can drive strategic initiatives, Council leadership and establish connections with the community, industry and government.”
“The forthcoming period for CDU will be vitally important with the University developing a new strategic plan in 2025, enhancing the accessibility of teaching and training opportunities for Territorians, having a stronger emphasis on internationalisation, and its re-accreditation with TEQSA and ASQA."
